Off- roading from 10.30 am to 4pm on Sat 15th May. Road taxed & MOT’d Vehicles only. Woodland tracks, hills with deep ascents and descents plus water. Call 01492 592 856 ext 105 for more details.

The Day!

We have often found our customers trying out their 4x4’s along internal park roadways and terrain that is off-limits to customers. After giving this situation much consideration we will lift the “off-limits” rule for one day only.

 

We have decided to give our customers the opportunity to try out their own 4x4’s with some off-roading on the park. We have developed a 4x4 offroad course by utilising the tracked vehicle area with it’s water troughs, plus other hill climbs and woodland track with a tight circuitous route through trees.

The Course

The course is easy to moderate and can be navigated with an ordinary road-going 4x4 without any modifications.Your initial introduction to the course will be following a convoy vehicle; i.e. one of our own 4x4’s. This will get you aquainted with the layout. After this you will be able to drive the course on your own. If you need to get out of the vehicle to ‘reccie’ an obstacle, please be aware of other vehicles coming from behind hills and trees. Barriers will prevent access to unsuitable areas.

Important Points to Note

• Site speed limit is 10mph
• Please only drive sections commensurate to your ability and that of your vehicle
• Only drivers with full UK license are allowed to drive on this land (no kids driving)
• Only road compliant vehicles allowed, i.e. with Road Tax & MOT.

Safety

You will receive a safety briefing in basic 4x4 driving and recovery techniques.

A vehicle inspection before you start.

As a duty of care we will provide basic driving instruction in the use of gears and brakes for the terrain to be tackled.

We will assist with recovery assuming tow rope is already attached ( this will be mandatory with the water troughs due to the scarcity of experienced divers.)

Under no circumstance should you attempt anything that you do not feel qualified or capable of doing in a safe and controlled way.

Liability

Normal road insurance doesn’t always cover green laning and rarely driving at an Off - road centre, so please check in advance. If you choose not to insure your vehicle, the risk will be yours. All clients are requested to sign a disclaimer to this effect.
